Haha okay! :) *grabs hot cocoa and fuzzy blanket*
SO. There is this mean Vietnamese boy that lives across from me.. and one day, he kept telling me to add my boyfriend, on MySpace (lol, it was that long ago) and I reallyyy didn’t want to, because he was a stranger. And he also told my boyfriend to talk to me on MySpace too. I wasn’t interested AT ALL. I mean, he wasn’t exactly my type, judging from his photos. So we added eachother, but nothing happened for a month or so.
One day, my boyfriend decides to send me a msg on AIM out of the blue, and at first I was thinking, what the heck, how did this guy get my sn? But he was pretty funny so we talked for a bit.
Then when Summer came, we started to talk more and more on the phone. I used to do nails, and one day, he surprised me at work and came to visit without telling me he was going to.
It was the first time we saw each other, and I LOOKED UTTERLY DISGUSTING. Like really, I rolled out of bed to go to work, no makeup, nothing. Didn’t brush my hair, but thank GOD I at least brushed my teeth -_-…. NOT EVEN A LITTLE bit of EYELINER T.T.
I was pissed because my nasty neighbor guy (that introduced us through MySpace) set my boyfriend up to do that.
I was so MORTIFIED & embarrassed with how I looked, so I ignored him and just continued doing someone’s nails the whole time, using my hair as a shield to hide from him. LOL. He got the hint and eventually left..(AH he was so so so so so hot in person, compared to his nasty profile pictures on MySpace)
It was the most awkward thing ever. I thought he wouldn’t call me anymore since he saw how shy I was and how gross I looked..
but surprisingly, he called me later that day and asked me out on an actual date. We set it up for a weekend, and it turned out to be my grandmother’s death/funeral anniversary day.. (it’s a Vietnamese thing)
At the time, I wasn’t allowed to date (I was 15) , it was raining outside, so I couldn’t tell my parents that I was “walking over to my GIRLfriend’s house”.
So he waited.
He thought I was going to stand him up, but I talked my dad into taking me to the “movies” to hang out with my “girlfriends”.
My boyfriend met me there, we went out to eat, and we went back to the park near my house. It was still raining. At the time I was 15, so I thought EVERYTHING was romantic.
We hugged in the rain. LOL.
We continued talking, flirting, and just getting to know each other. At the end of the summer, he asked me out, but since it was in a Walmart, I turned him down because that’s just NOT ROMANTIC. LOL (remember, I was 15 and all wishy washy)
Anyway. He thought I didn’t like him..and we stopped talking once school started, just randomly.
Then around November, we started to talk again. & Finally, in December, on the eve of Christmas, he asked me out. It was snowing outside. But we were warm inside his car. The windows got foggy and he randomly made a drawing. Two stick figures. A boy and a girl. He drew a speech bubble connecting to the boy and it said “will you be my girlfriend?” and .. being the lame, romantic 16 year old that I was, I responded by drawing a speech bubble and answered “yes”.
it’s been 3 years, and we’re still together.
